Cover: Green (note pattern on cloth); bevelled edges; gilt edging design; center gold medallion of a man and woman walking in a field - there's a farm rear left, church and steeple rear right; note clothes and style; title in gilt at the top of the medallion; author's full name (in a different font) under the medallion; leaves and branches around top, left, and bottom of medallion; black embossed circle around medallion, and black edge; back cover blank; spine with title sideways in a different font (and gilt); geometric design before and after title on spine; design on edges of spine.
Inside Book Covers: plain brown paper
Paper Edges: all gilt - top, side, bottom
Illustrations: illustration opposite title page, two men, one with a quill pen, writing (note caption: "Draw up the papers, lawyer, and make 'em good and stout" page 17"). There's a page between the illustration and the title page. There's a list of Illustrations included. Style of illustrations does not seem to be consistent.
